Interferometers
Interferometers unit

A basic shape interferometer used for observing surface accuracy of reflection samples. It is characterized by two optical paths deflected orthogonally by the reflector. The difference between the surface shapes of the reflectors installed in each optical path can be observed as distortion of fringes.

Michelson Interferometer

A basic shape interferometer used for observing surface accuracy of reflection samples. It is characterized by two optical paths deflected orthogonally by the reflector. The difference between the surface shapes of the reflectors installed in each optical path can be observed as distortion of fringes.

Mach-Zehnder Interferometer

Two beams divided from a single beam transmit different paths, and are recombined by another half mirror to generate interference fringes. Since optical paths are not returned by a mirror, it is a single path interferometer where a beam passes a sample only once.

Fizeau Interferometer

Simple configuration and short interference optical path length are less susceptible to vibrations and temperature fluctuations than other two interferometers, providing stability. Used for observation of surface accuracy of a reflector.

Camera Observation Unit

You can load interference fringe images onto a PC by replacing the screen component of an interferometer to the imaging lens component and camera component.

Schlieren

Optical system for quantitative observation of air flow or streams in glass (striae).It expresses invisible minute variations in refractive index with intensity of optical luminance. Projection images of Schlieren can be observed on a monitor using an image sensor.
