Simple shape lenses for laser experiment with a little reduced spherical aberration.
These are available for imaging experiment using a monochromatic light source or using as focusing a laser beam on the detector.
◦There are three types available; BK7 for from visible range to infrared wavelength range, high-strength synthetic fused
silica which has high laser damage threshold used in less than 350nm ultraviolet light, and synthetic fused silica lens for
excimer laser corresponding to the excimer laser such as KrF (248nm) and ArF (193nm).
◦BK7 lenses are also available with three types of anti-reflection coating, visible wavelength range, in the near-infrared range and in the infrared range.

▶The plano convex lens has a chromatic aberration, and the focal length will vary depending on the wavelength. Please check the “wavelength characteristic of the focal length data” on the Web for the focal lengths of each wavelength. (Reference Technical Data)
▶There is a direction to put light on the plano convex lens. Please let the parallel light incident from the convex side always. May increase the spherical aberration in reverse, the focused spot may enlarge, image will appear out of focus.
▶Losses due to reflection of the front and rear surfaces of the lens, the transmittance of no coated lens is about 90%.
